Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya antara korelasi pengetahuan (p value = 0.005), persepsi kerentanan (p value = 0.036), persepsi manfaat (p value = 0.004), persepsi hambatan (p value = 0.037) dengan perubahan perilaku seks responden, dan variabel yang paling berpengaruh adalah pengetahuan. Kata Kunci : perilaku seks, waria, HIV/AIDS, pengetahuan, persepsi. the sexual behavior of transsexuals in Tarakan City; Tarakan City has the highest HI V /AIDS prevalence (9.28%) among the regencies/cities in East Kalimantan Province, that HIV (+) cases are found mainly in the transsexuals group. The objective of this research is to analyze the influencing factors on the sexual behayior of transsexuals in order to prevent of HI V /AIDS in Tarakan City. This is an explanatory research with the cross-sectional approach. The number of samples is 49 respondents. The data was analyzed by uni-variate, bi-variate, and multi-variate analysis. Meanwhile, the qualitative data analyzed by using the content analysis. From the research results, it was found that there were connections between the level of k nowledge of HIV/AIDS (p value=0.005), perceived susceptibility (p val u e=0.036), perceived benefits (p value = 0.004) a nd perceived barriers (p value = 0.037) to the sexual behavior of transsexuals, and the most significantly influencing is the adequate kn owledge of HIV/AIDS.
