KUALITAS PELAYANAN TRANSPORTASI KOTA SEMARANG Studi Kasus terhadap Kualitas Pelayanan Angkutan Umum : Mobil Penumpang Umum dan Bis Sedang di Kota Semarang

Abstract

The government is responsible to provide urban mass transportation
facilities which meet several criteria such as safety, accuracy, convenience,
speed, comfortable, and satisfaction. However, most respondents in research
on Urban Mass Transportation in Semarang City said that the quality of mass
transportation facilities in their city is still low. However, they also express their
satisfaction over the service. This controversy was based on the limited
availability of alternative transportation facilities, and the limited economic
capability of the passengers. The situation should be improved by the revision
of government public policies over mass transportation and the enhancement of
manpower quality of the service providers.
