Abstract
The fall of Soehartos authorianism regime result in the rise of local
decentralization. Local decentralization requires public participation in every
decison making process including direct local government head election. This
direct election can be used to rise political education and increase political
maturation. By doing so, it will get capable, acceptable and accountable local
government.
