Abstract
Development planning is an important management function of the
government, as we are now facing various big changes, globally, regionally,
nationally, and locally. Therefore Strategic Planning (RENSTRA) is considered
an effective means to face this problem in composing this plan. There are several
principles related to RENSTRA, covering: the basic value of the local government,
the existence of local planning document, the RENSTRA meaning, and steps in
making RENSTRA.
