The writer specifically wants to reveal the ideology or the view point of the villagers on Gotputuk village through the names given to their children. Using a questionnaire and a population record, the writer analyses 64 names. The result shows that the villagers who have children born in 2000 to 2010 chose certain names to negotiate two kinds of identities.
