Indonesian Perspective: Journal of International Relations in the Indo-Pacific is a scholarly peer-reviewed journal that promotes dynamic academic debates on international relations across the Indo-Pacific. Positioned as a strategic scholarly hub, the journal welcomes critical analyses and empirical research from Indonesian, regional, and global standpoints to support foreign policy dialogue and strategic discussions.

The scope covers vital regional issues, including traditional and non-traditional security, maritime conflicts, and great power politics involving major actors like the US, China, India, Japan, and Australia. It also invites submissions on ASEAN centrality, regional frameworks (such as QUAD, AUKUS, and IPEF), diplomacy, and global challenges like climate change and international political economy. Embracing academic pluralism, the journal welcomes contributions from international scholars utilizing diverse theoretical perspectives and research methodologies—whether qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods—provided they demonstrate strict academic rigor and offer fresh, impactful insights into International Relations.


The Editor welcomes manuscript submission from academics, researchers, as well as practitioners around the globe to enhance our understanding regarding how global politics matters for Indonesia and vice versa. Since 31 May 2019, IP (Indonesian Perspective) has Sinta-4 accreditation based on Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Decree Number 0173/C3/DT.05.00/2025.
