PEMBERDAYAAN POTENSI KEWIRAUSAHAAN KERAJINAN TAS BERBAHAN LIMBAH PLASTIK KEMASAN MINUMAN BAGI WARGA TERDAMPAK PANDEMIK COVID - 19 DI KOTA SEMARANG ( SUATU UPAYA MENCAPAI TUJUAN SDGs 1)

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatari rasa keprihatinan menghadapi permasalahan lingkungan dan kemiskian di kota Semarang pasca pandemik Covid-19. Di kota Semarang khususnya daerah kelurahan Sendangmulyo Tembalang terdapat beberapa kelompok keluarga terdampak pandemik Covid-19 yang memiliki potensi berwirausaha di bidang kerajinan olah limbah plastik kemasan minuman. Sementara limbah plastik kemasan minuman di koata Semarang melimpah. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memberi penguatan melalui pemberdayaan potensi kewirausahaan kerajinan tas berbahan limbah plastik kemasan minuman bagi warga terdampak Pandemik Covid-19. Dari hasil pemberdayaan ini diharapkan menjadi modal awal warga binaan yang awalnya bergerak di bidang kerajian rumahan dapat ditingkatkan menjadi home industry kategori Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM). Di samping itu hasil pengabdian ini dapat menyubangkan peran mengurangi permasalahan limbah sampah plastik di kota Semarang. Cara pemberdayaan dengan menggunakan edukasi, pelatihan, insentif permodalan dan promosi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan, terjadi penambahan jumlah pelaku pengrajin dan omset penjualan.

This community service is motivated by a sense of concern in dealing with environmental problems and poverty in the city of Semarang after the Covid-19 pandemic. In the city of Semarang, especially the Sendangmulyo sub-district, Tembalang, there are several family groups affected by the Covid-19 pandemic who have entrepreneurial potential in the field of craft processing plastic waste beverage packaging. Meanwhile, plastic beverage packaging waste in the city of Semarang is abundant. The purpose of this community service is to provide reinforcement through empowering the entrepreneurial potential of craft bags made from plastic waste beverage packaging for residents affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic. From the results of this empowerment, it is hoped that it will become the initial capital for the inmates who were initially engaged in home crafts, which can be upgraded to become a home industry for the category of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). In addition, the results of this service can contribute to the role of reducing the problem of plastic waste in the city of Semarang. Ways of empowering use education, training, capital incentives and promotions. The results of the service show that there is an increase in the number of craftsmen and sales turnover.
