Dengan adanya gejala-gejala yang telah diketahui sebelumnya, dapat dilakukan pendeteksian dini terhadap serangan penyakit RA, sehingga dapat dilakukan tindakan pengobatan dan pencegahan. Banyaknya faktor-faktor yang menjadi penyebab seorang pasien menderita penyakit RA, menjadi tantangan tersendiri dalam melakukan pendeteksian penyakit tersebut. Untuk itu diperlukan suatu metode yang mampu memudahkan dalam proses pendeteksian agar dapat dilakukan dengan cepat dan akurat, salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan sistem pakar dengan metode Case-Base Reasoning (CBR). Dengan menggabungkan pemecahan masalah, pemahaman dan pembelajaran suatu kasus, metode CBR mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan untuk melakukan analisis dan penentuan keputusan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan, penggunaan metode CBR dapat mendeteksi penyakit RA secara akurat.
