Call for Paper. Kapal: Jurnal Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi Kelautan (Kapal: Journal of Marine Science and Technology) (eISSN:2301-9069; pISSN:1829-8370)

Kapal: Jurnal Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi Kelautan (Journal of Marine Science and Technology) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to the dissemination of high-quality research in the maritime sector. We provide a platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to share innovative developments and critical insights into the design, construction, and operation of marine vehicles and offshore structures. 

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous single-blind peer-review process in which reviewers are aware of the authors’ identities while authors remain anonymous to reviewers.

KAPAL: Jurnal Ilmu Pengetahuan & Teknologi Kelautan accepts manuscripts written in English. This Journal has been indexed in Sinta(S2), DOAJ, Garuda(Garba Rujukan Digital), Google Scholar, Portal Garuda/Indonesian Publication Index, Crossref.

We invite the submission of original research articles, comprehensive reviews, and technical studies that contribute to the advancement of naval architecture and marine technology. The journal’s scope includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Ship Hydrodynamics: resistance, propulsion, manoeuvrability, and seakeeping.
  2. Ship Design and Production: naval architecture, vessel optimisation, CAD/CAM, welding and shipbuilding technologies.
  3. Ship Structure: structural performance, vibration, fatigue, and integrity assessment.
  4. Naval and Marine System: safety, onboard systems integration, automation, and autonomous marine technologies.
  5. Marine Engineering: propulsion systems, machinery, energy systems, and marine electrification.
  6. Ship Material: advanced composites, structural alloys, corrosion prevention, and material innovation.
  7. Marine Transport Engineering: maritime logistics, fleet operations, shipping economics, and transportation systems.
  8. Ocean Renewable Energy: offshore wind, wave, tidal, and sustainable marine energy technologies.
  9. Ocean and Offshore Engineering: offshore platforms, subsea systems, and deep-water engineering.
  10. Coastal & Port Engineering: coastal protection, port infrastructure, dredging, and harbour development.
