Besides, the researcher also attempts to reveal the reason of shift. This qualitative research used observation method to collect the data. The result of the study showed transposition and modulation technique used cause shift to achieve the equivalence of the message between SL and TL. The shifts found are unit shift, structure shift, category shift, and point of view shift from active in source language to passive in target language. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan teknik transposisi dan modulasi yang diterapkan penerjemah untuk mendapatkan kesepadanan pesan antara Bsu dan Bsa dan jenis pergeseran yang muncul dalam menerapkan teknik tersebut. Selain itu, peneliti juga mengemukakan alasan terjadinya pergeseran. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan metode observasi untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan teknik transposisi dan modulasi yang digunakan penerjemah dalam menerjemahkan cerpen menimbulkan pergeseran untuk mencapai kesepadanan makna atau pesan antara Bsu dan Bsa. Pergeseran yang ditemukan dengan menggunakan teknik transposisi dan modulasi, yaitu pergeseran struktur, pergeseran unit, pergeseran kategori dan pergeseran sudut pandang aktif di Bsu menjadi pasif di Bsa. }, issn = {23380683}, pages = {120--130} doi = {10.14710/parole.v4i2 Oct.120-130}, url = {https://ejournal.undip.ac.id/index.php/parole/article/view/7889} }
