Abstract
Land conversion impacts reducing the catchment area and increasing surface runoff. The zero delta Q policy (ZDQP) regulates that each building manages runoff water within the building area. This study aims to design zero runoff stormwater management system and assess their theoretical effectiveness based on the developmental research approach from Richey & Klein, (2005) that was adapted into an engineering design framework for water infrastructure (Mays, 2011). The methodology involves three technical stages: site assessment, hydrological design and evaluation, and design validation. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, documentation, and interviews. Observations were made to complete the data needed in the study. Documentation was conducted to collect data related to zero runoff concept technology application. Interviews were conducted with the Head of the Hospital Facility Maintenance Installation to determine the application of the zero-runoff concept. The conclusion of this study is the result of the redesign using the zero-runoff concept by applying rainwater tanks, infiltration wells, bioretention, and permeable pavement, which theoretically can reduce runoff by 50.17%.
