Abstract

Abstract

[Title: Sustainable Manufacturing and Circular Economy : A Systematic Literature Review] The manufacturing industry needs to consider the balance of sustainability aspects which include environmental, economic, and social aspects. A sustainable manufacturing system and a circular economy are urgently needed to respond to the global challenge of conserving and protecting resources. A comprehensive study is needed to know and understand the concepts of sustainable manufacturing and circular economy, so this study aims to analyze the existing literature on the topic of sustainable manufacturing and circular economy and to map the distribution of articles. The method used in this study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) which is carried out by following procedures and protocols that allow the literature review process to avoid bias and subjectivity, followed by a meta-analysis to see the distribution and statistical relevance of published articles. This research was assisted by VOS viewer software and search engine Emerald Insight and ScienceDirecte for data grouping. From the search results, a total of 1651 related articles were obtained in 2015 – 2020 and sorted to find relevant articles. The results of the analysis show that studies on sustainable manufacturing and circular economy continue to increase every year. India is the country with the most authors and case studies, and the Journal Cleaner of Production is the dominating journal.
