Sistem yang dikembangkan memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi khususnya pada smartphone bersistem operasi Android dengan memanfaatkan teknologi GPS untuk mendapatkan posisi Persebaran penyakit leptospirosis, kemudian data Persebaran penyakit leptospirosis tersebut disimpan dalam database server. Sistem Informasi Persebaran Penyakit Leptospirosis Menggunakan Global Positioning System (GPS) Berbasis Android dibangun dengan menggunakan model proses prototype dengan bahasa pemrograman java Android. Hasil dari artikel ini berupa sistem berbasis Android. Sistem ini dapat membantu dalam menambah data kejadian leptospirosis secara langsung melalui perangkat Android. Selain itu sistem ini dapat menangkap posisi penderita melalui perangkat Android.
