Abstract

Gunung Merapi merupakan salah salah satu gunung api aktif di Indonesia, terletak diantara dua propinsi, yaitu Jawa Tengah dan Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Gunung Merapi memiliki ketinggian 2968 mdpl. Dampak sekunder (setelah erupsi) dari Gunung Merapi masih mengancam kehidupan masyarakat di sekitar Gunung Merapi. Dengan melihat dampak erupsi, maka dibutuhkan suatu informasi yang akurat dan tepat guna. Pada penelitian ini, dibuat sistem informasi geografis (SIG) berbasis web, menggunakan metode sekuensial linear, bahasa pemrograman PHP/Mapscript, penyimpanan data menggunakan PostgreSQL dan ekstensi PostGIS. Sedangkan visualisasi pada web menggunakan mapserver. Dengan SIG ini, diharapkan dapat menanggulangi risiko bencana, meminimalisir jumlah korban jiwa, dan membantu pemerintah dalam memantau kawasan rawan dan posko pengungsian yang ada. Selain itu, SIG ini dapat digunakan oleh pengujung web dalam mendapatkan informasi desa yang terdampak kawasan rawan bencana, sungai yang dilalui lahar dingin, dan informasi posko pengungsian.
