Tahapan reaksi yang terjadi adalah hidrolisis, substitusi, polimerisasi, pembentukan oksida dan penyusunan spinel. Bahan yang digunakan antara lain CH 3 COONa (0,4 M), (CH 3 COO) 2 Mn (0,6 M), (CH 3 COO) 2 Co (0,2 M) dan Polivinil Alkohol (PVA) 8 % (w/v). Variasi suhu kalsinasi yang diterapkan masing-masing adalah 750°, 850°, 900° dan 950°C dan menghasilkan kristal serbuk berwarna hitam dengan berat masing-masing 1,64, 1,57, 1,60 dan 1,48 gram. Kristal yang dihasilkan dikarakterisasi menggunaknan X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), LCR Meter, dan SEM-EDS. Dengan meningkatnya suhu kalsinasi, aglomerat yang terbentuk menjadi lebih padat dan berkumpul menjadi aglomerat yang besar. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan perbedaan nilai konduktivitas. Spinel dengan nilai konduktivitas terendah dan tertinggi masing-masing adalah 2.01 x 10 -7 S/cm dan 1.28 x 10 -6 S/cm yang diperoleh pada suhu kalsinasi 750°C dan 850°C.
