JIS, as the open access journal, has been indexed by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Google Scholar, Indonesian Publication Index (IPI),  SINTA-Science and Technology Index,  Dimensions, and Crossref with a DOI number: 10.14710/jis.

For year 2024, 2 issues (volume 23, Issue 1 (June),  issue 2(December)) are scheduled for publication with 5-7 articles per issues. Commencement of publication: August 2006.
