Abstract

Abstract
At the Fuel Station at PT. Newmont Nusa Tenggara (PT. NNT) was laying Chock wheel on the front and back oh the left front wheel 793C Haul Truck before refueling. These activities done by workers using the the tool. However, the use of these tools it is less convenient and cause fatigue in the back. This is because the size of the tool is less according to body size of workers. Therefore we need a redesign of the tools work with anthropometric approach. In the re-design work tool Chock wheels, body dimensions to be considered is the diameter of grip, standing elbow height and width of the palm of the hand (metacarpal). Based on the results ofanthropometric measurement of workers at PT. NNT are obtained design size wheel Chock work tool that is a long handle for 951 mm with handle 1026 mm height and diameter of 42 mm handle. Biomechanics analysis is based on the moment acting on the body of workers. Moment of work for initial design of 140 Nm in the pelvis and trunk is 95 Nm about the axis Y. While the results of the re-design is 13 Nm at the pelvis and 9 Nm an the Y axis of the trunk. Conformity with the anthropometric dimensions of worker working tool as well as impairment of moments in the pelvis and truck to reduce the risk of injury and fatigue on the back of workers.
