Abstract

The transition toward sustainable port logistics requires evaluating head-truck technologies from environmental, economic, technical, and social perspectives. This study evaluates the feasibility and sustainability of diesel and electric (EV) head-truck systems at PT XYZ by integrating Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Operational Cost Analysis, Sensitivity Analysis, and Analytic Network Process (ANP). LCA was conducted using SimaPro 9.0, ecoinvent 3.9, and ReCiPe 2016 Midpoint (H), while operational costs were compared based on actual energy consumption. ANP integrated technical, economic, environmental, and social criteria to determine the overall priority of the alternatives. The results show that the EV system has a lower aggregated environmental burden, despite trade-offs in several impact categories. Its annual operational cost is approximately Rp 258.1 million per unit, compared with Rp 808.1 million for diesel, yielding potential annual savings of approximately Rp 550 million per unit. The ANP results also indicate a higher overall priority for the EV alternative. These findings demonstrate the potential of electric head-truck technology to support more sustainable and economically efficient internal container transportation at PT XYZ.
