Penelitian adalah metode survei dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. sampel penelitian berjumlah 160 orang ibu hamil yang berdomisili di Kecamatan Singkawang Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar (56,2%) responden berniat untuk berkunjung ke klinik VCT. Variabel yang berhubungan signifikan dengan niat ibu hamil untuk berkunjung ke klinik VCT yaitu pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang HIV/AIDS dan VCT, Keyakinan ibu hamil tentang manfaat VCT, persepsi ibu hamil terhadap sikap bidan tentang VCT dan motivasi ibu hamil oleh opini teman, suami dan bidan tentang VCT. Kata kunci : Niat Ibu hamil, Kecamatan Singkawang Barat. ABSTRACT The intention of pregnant women in district of west Singkawang to visit the clinics Voluntary Counseling Testing (VCT);Singkawang city bettween 2005 until 2009 there were 81 people in the VCT of pregnant women who are 19 people suffering from HIV-positive. Later than after giving birth, 12 babies are HIV positive. In 2010 no one pregnant woman who went to the Mawar VCT clinic of Dr.Abdul Aziz Hospital in Singkawang. This study aims to find out factors related to the intentions of pregnant women in the District of West Singkawang to visit the VCT clinic. Research is survey method with cross sectional research design. 160 people of pregnant women who are domiciled in the District of West Singkawang used as sample. Results showed the majority (56.2%) of respondents intend to visit the VCT clinic. Variables significantly associated with maternal intention to visit the VCT clinic that is knowledge of pregnant women about HIV / AIDS and VCT, Confidence pregnant women about the benefits of VCT, the perception of pregnant women to midwives about VCT and motivation attitudes of pregnant women by the opinions of friends, husbands and midwives about VCT.
