Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Kesehatan Mental Remaja Selama Pandemi Covid-19 : Tinjauan Literatur

Abstract

Latar belakang: Salah satu dampak yang menjadi perhatian akibat pandemi ini adalah kesehatan mental. Tidak hanya terjadi pada orang dewasa, remaja pun secara tidak langsung juga terkena dampak. Kesehatan mental mengacu pada kognitif, perilaku, dan kesejahteraan emosional. Berdasarkan data survei Kementerian Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak (KPPPA), 93% remaja yang mengalami gejala depresi berada pada rentang 14 – 18 tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesehatan mental remaja pada masa pandemi Covid-19.

Metode: Metode penulisan artikel ini adalah tinjauan literatur Artikel ditelusuri menggunakan basis data daring antara lain melalui Google Scholar, Researchgate, dan Pubmed. Kriteria inklusi untuk artikel yang hendak dipilih adalah yang artikel lengkap, dapat diakses bebas, terdapat ISSN, jurnal terindeks SINTA, Arjuna, maupun google scholar, untuk jurnal internasional terakreditasi dan terpublikasi pada masa pandemi (2 tahun terakhir)

Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil tinjauan, ditemukan berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi kesehatan mental remaja selama pandemi. Faktor-faktor tersebut antara lain proses belajar daring, pola makan, waktu yang habis untuk menatap layar, konsumsi berita dari media, jenis kelamin, komunikasi dengan orang tua, bentuk keluarga, penggunaan media sosial, isolasi sosial, kerentanan individu, dan tingkat pendidikan

Simpulan: Terdapat berbagai macam faktor yang mempengaruhi kesehatan mental remaja selama pandemi. Perlu dilakukan upaya dalam menjaga kesehatan mental seperti meningkatkan komunikasi antara orang tua dan anak serta menggunakan media sosial secara bijak.

ABSTRACT

Title: Factors Affecting Adolescent Mental Health During the Covid-19 Pandemic : Literature Review

Background: One of the impacts of concern due to this pandemic is mental health. Not only happens to adults, teenagers are also indirectly affected. Mental health refers to cognitive, behavioral, and emotional well-being. Based on survey data from the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA), 93% of adolescents who experience symptoms of depression are in the range of 14-18 years. This study aims to determine the factors that affect the mental health of adolescents during the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

Method: The method of writing this article is a literature review. Articles are searched using online databases, including through Google Scholar, Researchgate, and Pubmed. The inclusion criteria for the articles to be selected are full text, open access, have ISSN numbers, SINTA indexed journals, Arjuna, and Google Scholar, for international journals that are accredited and published during the pandemic period (last 2 years),

Result: Based on the results of the review, various factors were found that affect the mental health of adolescents during the pandemic. These factors include online learning, diet, time spent staring at screens, consumption of news from the media, gender, communication with parents, family form, use of social media, social isolation, individual vulnerability, and education level.

Conclusion: There are various factors that affect the mental health of adolescents during the pandemic. Efforts need to be made to maintain mental health such as improving communication between parents and children and using social media wisely.
