Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan karakteristik responden (usia, jenis kelamin, tahun masuk perkuliahan), pengetahuan, sikap, self efficacy , akses pembelian makanan, lingkungan sosial, pola makan keluarga, media, iklan dengan emotional eating pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Diponegoro. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif sebanyak 284 responden dengan metode propotional random sampling sesuai dengan kriteria sampel penelitian. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Maret sampai September 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yaitu pengisian lembar kuesioner serta data sekunder yaitu buku, artikel ilmiah, e-journal , dan e-book yang berkaitan dengan emotional eating . Data penelitian dilakukan uji normalitas dan uji chi square untuk mengetahui hubungan antar variabel. Hasil: Hasil uji statistik chi square menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara tahun masuk perkuliahan (angkatan) dengan p-value 0.001, sikap dengan p-value 0.000, lingkungan sosial dengan p-value 0.000, media dengan p-value 0.004, dan iklan dengan p-value 0.036 terhadap emotional eating . Kemudian, variabel usia, jenis kelamin, pengetahuan, self-efficacy , akses pembelian makanan, serta pola makan keluarga tidak berhubungan terhadap emotional eating pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Diponegoro. Simpulan : Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel tahun masuk perkuliahan (angkatan), sikap, lingkungan sosial, media, dan iklan berhubungan terhadap perilaku emotional eating pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Diponegoro. Students are included in the late adolescent stage which still has emotional fluctuations so that students are at risk of emotional eating. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between respondent characteristics (age, gender, year of entering college), knowledge, attitudes, self-efficacy, access to food purchases, social environment, family diets, media, advertising with emotional eating in students of the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Diponegoro. Method: In accordance with the research sample criteria, 284 respondents were selected using a proportional random sampling technique for this quantitative study. The investigation was carried out between March and September of 2023. This study employed a combination of primary and secondary data sources, including questionnaires, scientific articles, books, e-journals, and e-books pertaining to the topic of emotional eating. The normality of the research data was assessed, and the chi-square test was utilized to ascertain the association between variables. Result: Based on the findings of the chi-square statistical test, it can be concluded that there exists a significant inverse relationship (p < 0.001) between year of college enrollment (class) and the variables of attitude (0.000), social environment (0.004), media (0.004), and advertising (0.036) with respect to emotional eating. Then, there was no significant relationship between emotional eating and the following variables: family eating patterns, age, gender, knowledge, self-efficacy, or access to food purchases at the Faculty of Public Health, Diponegoro University. Conclusion : This study found that Diponegoro University Faculty of Public Health students' emotional eating behavior is linked to class year, attitude, social environment, media, and advertising.
