Although this segment geometrically can be considered quite good because it provides adequate stopping distance, the accident data from PT. Trans Marga Jateng showed that this segment is prone to accidents. This studyevaluated this segment's slope and slope length and their relationship to the potential for accidents. This segment was divided into three sections based on the slope and two vehicle types: light vehicles (LV) and heavy vehicles (HV). The results showed that the speed of LV was not significantly affected by slope and slope length variations, but this was not the case for HV. This condition results in a significant speed gap with great potential for accidents, especially at 00.00 – 06.00 and 12.00 – 18.00 when the driver is drowsy or fatigued. Therefore, an in-depth evaluation is recommended on the regulations allowing HVs to operate on toll roads, taking into account the weight-to-power ratio (PWR) and the maximum weight of the HV.}, issn = {25496778}, pages = {192--201} doi = {10.14710/mkts.v28i2.43665}, url = {https://ejournal.undip.ac.id/index.php/mkts/article/view/43665} }
