Balancing is the treatment of unbalanced components by providing another centrifugal force that will oppose the original centrifugal force or by eliminating the force. Dynamic balancing is a balancing activity carried out against dynamic imbalance conditions that occur in rotating machines. Balancing process aims to reduce the vibrations that occur in the rotor system by adding or reducing mass in the rotor. To determine the state of unbalance, a vibration measuring device or vibrometer is used to measure the value of vibrations that occur in the rotor. This dynamic balancing test was carried out using the Dynamic Balancing Test Tool found in the Mechanical Design Engineering Metrology Laboratory with a motor power of 1 hp with a maximum rotational speed of 1485 RPM and using a fixed shaft mounted on a test object with 2 disks with holes for placing the test mass. In the testing process, the 4 dynamic trial mass method was used, with the condition of the disk object being unbalanced mass of 08 grams, 10 grams, 12 grams, and 15 grams with different positions in the two fields. This increase in mass causes the object to experience dynamic imbalance, and the vibration value becomes higher than the initial state of the machine. Then do the balancing at 1485 RPM rotation. Overall, the balancing has succeeded in reducing the value of the resulting vibration velocity. The largest balancing percentage was also obtained with a value of 103% on the left bearing and 88% on the right bearing under 15gram unbalance mass weight conditions while the smallest was 33% on the left bearing and 39% on the right bearing with 8gram unbalance mass weight conditions so that it can be seen that the mass weight unbalance also affects the balance. }, issn = {2406-9620}, pages = {36--42} doi = {10.14710/rotasi.24.3.36-42}, url = {https://ejournal.undip.ac.id/index.php/rotasi/article/view/47573} }
