JURNAL HUKUM PROGRESIF WRITING TERMS (AUTHOR GUIDELINE)

Jurnal Hukum Progresif accepts original articles in any subject of law. Multidisciplinary research articles are welcomed, but a legal analysis must be a strong variable within that article. Articles are accepted year-round, and we publish twice a year: April and October.

  1. Article Submission

The journal accepts only high-quality interdisciplinary legal research articles written in English. All manuscripts submitted to the journal will first undergo an initial pre-review process. Manuscripts that meet the requirements at this stage will proceed to a double-blind peer review process. The general guidelines for article preparation are as follows:

    1. All submitted articles must be written in English, with a minimum AJE score of 8 and a minimum word count of 12,000 words.
    2. All articles must be proofread by a certified English language institution.
    3. The Title Is Written In Times New Roman, Size: 13 Pt, Style: Bold, Centre, and Uppercase, Maximum 14 Words.
    4. Distance between Title and author’s name must be 2 spaces.
    5. The author’s name (write full name of the author without any qualifications), affiliation and institutional address, and email. That information should be written in small caps, starting with capital letters with single line spacing.
    6. The number of author could be more than 1 by adding comma ( , ). The correspondent author should be marked as “ * “. Corresponding author clearly indicate who will handle correspondence at all stages of refereeing and publication, also post-publication. Ensure that the e-mail address is given and that contact details are kept up to date by the corresponding author.
    7. If author name consists of two words, the first name should not be abbreviated and followed by the last name. If author name only consists of one word, it must be made in repetition.
    8. The abstract must be written comprehensively, in a single paragraph, single-spaced, and consist of 250–300 words.
    9. The abstract should contain the background, research urgency, research method, results, and conclusion..
    10. Keywords should be bold and consists of 3-5 words in lowercase with Times New Roman, font style: bold, alignment: justified.. Each word is separated by semicolon.

  2. Paper Format

The submission of an article implies that the work has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. In addition, this journal does not accept the term “Normative Legal Research”; instead, it only recognizes the following legal research terms: Doctrinal Legal Research, Non-Doctrinal Legal Research, and Integrative Legal Research. The format for submitted articles is as follows:

    1. Research Article

The guideline for research article as follows:

      1. Introduction

Introduction should be clear and provide the issue to be discussed in the article. Introduction should be consist of the background, theory approach, state of the art, and gap analysis. At the end of the paragraph, the author should end with a comment on the significance concerning identification of the issue.

      2. Research Methods

The research method should be written in a highly technical manner, clearly explaining how the research was conducted. The research method section must consist of more than two paragraphs. For articles using Doctrinal Legal Research, a separate research method section is not required; instead, the author may briefly describe the method in one paragraph at the end of the Introduction section

      3. Results and Discussion

This section is the most important part of the article. It presents the findings related to the object of study and should be written clearly and comprehensively. This section should also explore the significance of the research findings through a well-developed elaboration of the research results, relevant theories, concepts, and previous studies. However, for articles using Doctrinal Legal Research, a separate “Results and Discussion” section is not required; authors may proceed directly to the first substantive discussion heading after the “Introduction” section.

      4. Conclusion

The conclusion and suggestion may be presented in a short, which may stand alone or form a different section of an Analysis and Discussion section.
