Abstract

Ventilasi mekanis dapat diberikan dengan cara invasif maupun noninvasif. Ventilasi noninvasif menjadi alternatif karena dapat menghindari risiko yang ditimbulkan pada penggunaan ventilasi invasif, mengurangi biaya dan lama perawatan di ruang intensif. Ventilasi noninvasif terbagi 2 yaitu ventilasi tekanan negatif dan ventilasi tekanan positif. Ventilasi noninvasif tekanan positif memerlukan alat penghubung seperti sungkup muka, sungkup nasal, keping mulut, nasal pillow dan helmet. Ventilator yang digunakan dapat berupa ventilator kontrol volume, tekanan, BIPAP dan CPAP.
