Salah satu cara yang paling efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang HIV/AIDS adalah melalui pendidikan perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kota Yogyakarta dengan cukup banyak mahasiswa keperawatan yang pengetahuan, sikap dan keberadaan stigma ODHAnya belum pernah diteliti. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan rancangan crossectional. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan sampel adalah proportional random sampling sejumlah 174 orang mahasiswa STIKES di Kota Yogyakarta yang dilakukan dari Oktober- Desember 2012. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden 55,2 % tidak menstigma ODHA dan sebanyak 44,8 % menstigma ODHA dan terdapat 2 variabel yang berpengaruh terhadap stigma ODHA yaitu sikap teman terhadap ODHA OR= 2,167 dan sikap orangtua terhadap ODHA OR= 2,097. Mahasiswa keperawatan dengan sikap teman dan sikap orangtua negatif terhadap ODHA memiliki kemungkinan menstigma ODHA lebih tinggi dibandingkan mahasiswa keperawatan yang memiliki sikap teman dan sikap orangtua positif terhadap ODHA. One most effective method to improve knowledge about HIV/AIDS is education at colleges. This study is carried out at Yogyakarta municipality whereby knowledge, attitudes about HIV/AIDS and the presence of stigma of PLHA among nursing student have never been observed.The aims of this research is to know and identify the factors influencing the existence of stigma by nursing student to PLHA.The study was descriptive cross sectional design. Data were collected by questioners using samples of proportional random sampling in which 174 nursing students in Yogyakarta municipality became the respondents during the research performed from October to December 2012. That most respondents 55.2% of respondents do not stigmatize of PLHA and 44.8% of the respondents stigmatizing PLHA and the study found two variables that had effects on stigmatized of PLHA are peers attitudes towards PLHA OR = 2.167 and parents’ attitudes towards PLHA OR = 2.097.
