Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mensintesis dan mengkarakterisasi fotokatalis ZnO-SiO 2 serta uji aktivitasnya dalam proses degradasi larutan campuran fenol dan reduksi Pb(II). Tahapan penelitian meliputi sintesis ZnO-SiO 2 , karakterisasi ZnO-SiO 2 dan uji aktivitas. Hasil karakterisasi ZnO-SiO 2 dengan XRD menunjukkan bahwa ZnO yang digunakan memiliki struktur kristal wurtzite dengan ukuran kristal 25,99 nm sedangkan untuk hasil karakterisasi menggunakan DR UV-Vis menunjukkan bahwa dengan adanya doping SiO 2 telah terjadi penurunan bandgap pada fotokatalis yaitu 2,96 eV sehingga mampu diaplikasikan pada daerah sinar tampak. Semikonduktor ZnO-SiO 2 mempunyai aktivitas yang paling baik dengan menggunakan sinar tungsteen selama 9 jam pada degradasi fenol sebesar 83,92 % dan reduksi Pb(II) pada sinar UV-C selama 9 jam sebesar 93,24 %.}, issn = {2597-9914}, pages = {96--100} doi = {10.14710/jksa.18.3.96-100}, url = {https://ejournal.undip.ac.id/index.php/ksa/article/view/18543} }
