Metode yang digunakan adalah fotokatalis. Tahapan penelitian ini meliputi sintesis semikonduktor ZnO-SiO 2 dengan metode sol-gel, pembuatan lapis tipis fotokatalis ZnO-SiO 2 dengan metode Doctor Blade, dan degradasi limbah organik fenol dan logam Cd(II) pada waktu tertentu dengan penyinaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa morfologi dari fotokatalis yang terbentuk tidak merata dan berbentuk granula. Hasil XRD menunjukkan bahwa telah terbentuk komposit ZnO-SiO 2 yang berbentuk wurzite hexagonal dengan ukuran kristal sebesar 27,73 nm. Hasil DRS UV-Vis menunjukkan bahwa energy gap dari fotokatalis ZnO-SiO 2 sebesar 2,56 eV. Degradasi fotokatalis ZnO-SiO 2 dengan penyinaran tungsteen selama 7 jam mampu mendegradasi fenol sebesar 65,73% dan mereduksi logam Cd sebesar 48,64% secara simultan.}, issn = {2597-9914}, pages = {45--49} doi = {10.14710/jksa.19.2.45-49}, url = {https://ejournal.undip.ac.id/index.php/ksa/article/view/18757} }
