ABSTRAK Sengketa sertipikat tanah terjadi karena kesalahan dalam pelaksanaan pendaftaran tanah oleh masyarakat dan Kantor Pertanahan, contohnya sertipikat overlapping di Desa Jrakah Payung, Kecamatan Tulis, Kabupaten Batang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penyelesaian sengketa sertipikat overlapping dan tanggung jawab Kantor Pertanahan pasca putusan PTUN terkait sengketa di Desa Jrakah Payung, Kecamatan Tulis, Kabupaten Batang. Metode Penelitian menggunakan adalah yuridis empiris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sengketa terhadap 6 sertipikat overlapping diselesaikan melalui perdamaian di Pengadilan Negeri Batang dan gugatan ke Pengadilan Tata Usaha Negara Semarang. Namun, Kantor Pertanahan Kabupaten Batang belum dapat memproses pembatalan sertipikat karena belum ada surat permohonan dari pemilik tanah. Sehingga, belum ada kepastian hukum terkait kepemilikan tanah. Sengketa sertipikat tanah terjadi karena kesalahan dalam pelaksanaan pendaftaran tanah oleh masyarakat dan Kantor Pertanahan, contohnya sertipikat overlapping di Desa Jrakah Payung, Kecamatan Tulis, Kabupaten Batang.
