Berdasarkan data dari Dinas Kesehatan Semarang bidang P2P pada tahun 2010 ditemukan anak usia d”10 tahun 36 anak (12,7%) dari 284 kasus penyakit candidiasis dan 1 anak (7,6%) dari 13 kasus trichomonas vaginalis. Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan di 4 tempat SD Negeri di Semarang 5 diantara 8 siswa masih belum paham cara merawat organ genetalia eksternal saat menstruasi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa yang mempengaruhi praktik perawatan organ genetalia eksternal pada anak usia 10-11 tahun yang mengalami menarche dini di SD Kota Semarang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, jumlah populasi sebanyak 550 anak, dengan sampel sebanyak 100 orang dengan menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling. Dan yang paling berpengaruh dengan analisis multivariat adalah peran orang tua dengan OR=1,213 artinya responden yang menyatakan pernah mendapatkan informasi dari orang tua tentang cara perawatan organ genitalia eksternal mempunyai kemungkinan 1.2 kali lebih besar untuk melakukan praktik yang baik dalam perawatan organ genitalia eksternal dibandingkan responden yang menyatakan tidak pernah mendapatkan informasi dari orang tuanya tentang cara perawatan organ genitalia eksternal. Research purpose This research aimed to find out the factors that affect external genital organ treatment care in children age 10 – 11 years (case study at elementary students in Semarang) that experienced earlier menarche. Research method this research uses quantitative. The population number is 550 children with 100 samples using proportional random sampling technique. The most affecting factor, after analyzed with multivariat analysis, is parents role with OR=1,213. It means that respondents representing that ever inform their parents about external genital organ treatment care technique have 1.2 bigger opportunity to do it than the opposite one.
