This research aimed to explore the description about compliance’s behaviorof on duty skippers in inspecting the boat based on the checklist in this shipping company.This research utilized qualitative research with in depth interview method to 11 skippers andtriangulation with in depth interview method to a marine supervisor, a marine superintendent,and an HSE personal. Factors that influenced the incompliance’s behavior directly were theeducation background of the skippers, supervision control, and rewads and punishments.
