Sintesis dan Karakterisasi Zeolit Berbahan Dasar Limbah Padat Industri Kertas (Dregs) dengan Penambahan Abu Sekam Padi

Abstract
Telah dilakukan penelitian sintesis zeolit menggunakan bahan dasar limbah industri kertas berjenis dregs secara refluks. Abu dregs dengan larutan NaOH dicampur ke dalam labu refluks pada temperatur 90°C selama 5 jam. Sintesis zeolit dengan variasi penambahan abu sekam padi. Zeolit yang dihasilkan selanjutnya dikarakterisasi menggunakan Spektroskopi Inframerah, Difraksi Sinar-X dan Analisis Luas Permukaan. Hasil karakterisasi menunjukkan gugus fungsi utama TO4 pada bilangan gelombang 1250-900 cm-1. Sifat kristalinitas zeolit masing-masing membentuk campuran mineral anorthite dan gehlenite. Karakterisasi sifat permukaan menghasilkan ukuran pori rata-rata 13,37 Å. Berdasarkan karakterisasi hasil sintesis, produk sintesis zeolit terbaik yaitu variasi penambahan 6,4 g abu sekam padi (Z4) yang mempunyai luas permukaan spesifik 18,0953 m2/g dan volume pori 12,081 cm3/g.
