Tujuan penelitian ini adalah megkaji efektifitas metode dekolorisasi untuk mendegradasi zat warna pada limbah cair pabrik tekstil, memperoleh informasi tentang efesiensi dan efektifitas penggunaan metode tersebut, serta melihat perubahan parameter kualitas limbah seperti BOD, COD, TSS, TOC. Elektrolisis dipilih sebagai salah satu alternatif penanganan limbah zat warna, karena mempunyai keuntungan dibandingkan metode lain adalah efektivitas dan sederhana. Salah satu faktor pendukung metode ini adalah elektroda. Pada penelitian ini elektroda yang digunakan adalah PbO 2 /Pb yang diperoleh dari limbah elektroda aki. Metode tersebut dilakukan dengan mengelektrolisis sampel zat warna pada potensial 4 volt dengan elektroda PbO 2 /Pb aki bekas dan pengaturan waktu elektrolisis selama 120 menit. Hasil akhir elektrolisis di analisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan Spektrofotometer UV-VIS dan analisis COD, serta TSS, TOC, BOD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa elektrolisis selama 2 jam dengan pH 1 terhadap 50 mL sampel limbah dan penambahan Na 2 SO 4 , elektroda PbO 2 /Pbdari aki bekas dapat mengurangi intensitas warna, dengan persentase dekolorisasi sebesar 95,7 % dan penurunan nilai parameter BOD, COD, TSS, TOC berturut- turut sebesar 44,6%, 70,2%, 83,2%, dan 48,3%.}, issn = {2597-9914}, pages = {85--90} doi = {10.14710/jksa.18.3.85-90}, url = {https://ejournal.undip.ac.id/index.php/ksa/article/view/18541} }
