Isolasi dilakukan dengan maserasi dari 2,708 kg serbuk kering dari daun getih-getihan menggunakan pelarut etanol, kemudian dipartisi dengan pelarut n-heksana yang menghasilkan ekstrak n-heksana sebanyak 2,4 gram. Uji fitokimia menggunakan pereaksi Liebermann-Burchard menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak n-heksana positif mengandung steroid. Pemisahan ekstrak n-heksana dengan kromatografi kolom menghasilkan 5 fraksi besar (A, B, C, D, E) dan fraksi B yang positif steroid menghasilkan isolat sebanyak 0,3 mg. Isolat steroid diuji kemurnian dengan metode KLT dengan berbagai pelarut. Dari KLT dua dimensi, didapatkan satu noda dan diduga isolat telah murni. Isolat steroid dianalisis menggunakan spektroskopi GC-MS, namum belum dapat ditentukan strukturnya. Uji aktivitas antibakteri dari ekstrak n-heksana terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus menunjukkan penghambatan pertumbuhan bakteri pada konsentrasi 1000 ppm.}, issn = {2597-9914}, pages = {32--37} doi = {10.14710/jksa.19.1.32-37}, url = {https://ejournal.undip.ac.id/index.php/ksa/article/view/18755} }
