Sintesis Elektrokimia Kompleks Cu(II)-Basa Schiff N-Benziliden Anilin dan Uji Aktivitas sebagai Antibakteri terhadap Escherichia Coli dan Staphylococcus Aureus

Abstract
Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang sintesis elektrokimia kompleks Cu(II)-basa schiff N-benziliden anilin dan uji aktivitas sebagai antibakteri terhadap Escherichia Coli dan Staphylococcus Aureus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh produk kompleks ba Schiff N-benziliden anilin serta memperoleh data uji aktivitas antibakteri dan nilai LC50 dengan metode dilusi cair. Tahapan penelitian ini adalah penentuan potensial elektroda kerja, kompleksasi N-benziliden anilin dengan logam Cu, regenerasi bakteri dan uji aktivitas antibakteri. Kompleksasi dilakukan dengan melakukan elektrolisis pada potensial 8 volt menggunakan elektroda Cu dan karbon, sedangkan uji aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan dengan metode dilusi cair. Produk yang diperoleh berupa padatan putih kekuningan dengan berat rata-rata 0,03 gram dan rendemen sebesar 20,54%. Nilai LC50 yang dihasilkan pada N-benziliden anilin dan kompleks untuk bakteri Escherichia Coli masing-masing adalah 5,788 ppm dan 3,75 ppm sedangkan untuk bakteri Staphylococcus Aureus masing-masing adalah 6,135 ppm dan 2,601 ppm.
