Status Kerentanan Keluarga ditinjau dari Karakteristik Responden dalam Menghadapi Pandemi COVID-19 di Provinsi Jawa Tengah

ABSTRAK

Latar belakang: Terjadinya penyebaran Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) di beberapa negara termasuk Indonesia di tahun 2020, dimana provinsi Jawa Tengah termasuk kedalam lima besar provinsi dengan kasus COVID-19 tertinggi. Pandemi COVID-19 ini dapat membuat kualitas hidup masyarakat menjadi lebih buruk dan menimbulkan kerentanan, dimana karakteristik suatu keluarga juga dapat mempengaruhi resiko kerentanan. Dengan adanya pandemi COVID-19 dapat mendorong adanya permasalahan ekonomi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis hubungan karakteristik terhadap status kerentanan keluarga menghadapi pandemi COVID-19 di Provinsi Jawa Tengah.

Metode: Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian survei, pendekatan kuantitatif yang bersifat cross sectional. Terdiri dari 167 sampel dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan accidental sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Provinsi Jawa Tengah pada bulan April hingga Desember 2020 yang dilakukan secara online. Variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu karakteristik dan status kerentanan keluarga. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner berupa google form. Analisis univariat menggunakan distribusi frekuensi. Analisis bivariat menggunakan chi square, dan rank spearman.

Hasil: Hasil uji hubungan menunjukkan bahwa variabel rata-rata penghasilan/bulan (p=0,006) berhubungan dengan status kerentanan keluarga. Sedangkan variabel umur(p=0,525), tingkat pendidikan (p=0,142), status pekerjaan (p=0,074), jumlah tanggungan keluarga (p=0,364), dan status keluarga (p=0,692) tidak berhubungan dengan status kerentanan keluarga.

Simpulan: Karakteristik responden berdasarkan rata-rata penghasilan/bulan berhubungan dengan status kerentanan keluarga dalam menghadapi COVID-19 di Provinsi Jawa Tengah.

ABSTRACT

Title: Family Vulnerability Status in terms of Characteristics of Respondents to Face the Covid-19 Pandemic in Central Java Province

 Background: The spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in several countries including Indonesia in 2020, where the province of Central Java is included in the top five provinces with the highest COVID-19 cases. The COVID-19 pandemic can make people's quality of life worse and lead to vulnerability, where the characteristics of a family can also affect the risk of vulnerability. With the COVID-19 pandemic it can lead to economic problems. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between characteristics and vulnerability status of families to face the COVID-19 pandemic in Central Java Province.

Method: This is a survey research, quantitative approach is cross sectional. There are 167 samples, the sampling technique using accidental sampling. This research was conducted in Central Java Province from April to Desember 2020 by online. The variables are characteristics, and perceptions of physical distancing, and family vulnerability status. Data collection using a questionnaire using google form. Univariate analysis using frequency distribution. Bivariate analysis using chi square, and rank spearman.

Result: The results of the correlaton test is the variable of average income / month (p= 0.006) were related to the vulnerability status of the family. Meanwhile, age (p = 0.525), education level (p = 0.142), type of work (p = 0.074), number of family dependents (p = 0.364), and family status (p = 0.692) were not related to family vulnerability status.

Conclusion: Characteristics of respondents based on average income / month are related to the vulnerability status of families in facing COVID-19 in Central Java Province.
