Metode yang dilakukan adalah ekstraksi tulang menggunakan asam asetat 5 % pada suhu 65-70 °C selama 4 jam, kemudian dipekatkan menggunakan rotary evaporator vacuum pada suhu 65 °C selama 35 menit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lem berbahan baku tulang ikan Swangi ( Priacanthus macranthus ) memiliki nilai keteguhan rekat yang tertinggi sebesar 43,50 kg/cm 2 dibandingkan dengan lem berbahan baku tulang ikan Kuniran ( Upeneus sulphureus ) sebesar 17,46 kg/cm 2 dan ikan Kurisi ( Nemipterus nematophorus ) sebesar 35,28 kg/cm 2 . Nilai rata-rata keteguhan rekat lem ikan hasil penelitian ini sebesar 25 kg/cm 2 , yang artinya memenuhi persyaratan daya rekat yang ditentukan oleh Standar Nasional Indonesia sebesar 10 kg/cm 2 . The aim of this study was to determine the quality of glue which is made from different species of marine fish bone . The m ethod s was done by the extraction of bone using 5 % acetic acid at temperature 65-70 0 C for 4 hours. Then, it was condensed by using rotary evaporator vacuum at temperature 65 0 C for 35 minutes . The result s showed that the glue made from bone of Purple-spotted big eye fish ( Priacanthus macranthus ) had the highest bonding strenght values about 43,50 kg/cm 2 compared with glue made from Sulphur goatfish ( Upeneus sulphureus ) about 17,46 kg/cm 2 and Threadfin bread ( Nemipterus nematophorus ) about 35,28 kg/cm 2 . The average of bonding strenght of f ish glue result ed from this study was about 25 kg/cm 2 , which means fulfill the bonding strenght requirements determined by Indonesian Natio na l Standard of 10 kg/cm 2 .
