METANA is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by the Department of Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology, Vocational School, Universitas Diponegoro. The journal serves as a platform for researchers, academics, and professionals to publish and disseminate original research articles, reviews, and technical notes related to chemical and process engineering.

METANA focuses on areas such as process design and optimization, chemical reaction engineering, separation processes, environmental and industrial chemistry, energy conversion, bioprocess technology, waste management, and sustainable materials. The journal also welcomes interdisciplinary studies that integrate chemical technology with industrial, environmental, or societal applications, emphasizing innovation and sustainability.

The main objective of METANA is to promote the advancement of chemical engineering and related technologies that contribute to sustainable industrial development and environmental protection. It encourages the exchange of scientific ideas and technological innovations between researchers, practitioners, and policy makers in both academic and industrial sectors.

Published twice a year (in June and December), METANA maintains a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the scientific quality, originality, and relevance of each article. The editorial board consists of experts from various national and international institutions, ensuring a high academic standard and a broad perspective in chemical and environmental sciences.

The journal upholds the principles of open science, providing free and unrestricted access to all its contents under the belief that freely available research supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Authors retain the copyright of their works while granting METANA the right of first publication.

METANA has been indexed in several national and international databases, reflecting its commitment to academic excellence and global visibility. The editorial team continuously strives to improve publication quality through the application of plagiarism detection software, transparent editorial policies, and adherence to ethical publication standards as guided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

 

This journal is Nationally Accredited by Directorate General of Higher Education decree No.: 225/E/KPT/2022 at 7 December 2022 by Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Indonesian. Accredited issue are Volume 18 No 1 2022 until Volume 22 No 2 2026
